As a full time employee our Junior Energy Manager Apprentice is able to support a variety of technical and operational energy related activities in Construction Services, Facilities Management and across the Council.

When supporting our Energy Data Analyst, our JEM helps with data import and cleansing so we can benchmark all operational properties, investigate the highest and lowest consumers and produce case studies of best practice.

When supporting our Engineers our JEM works on the Building Energy Management System investigating alerts and rectifying problems and on implementation of WCC’s property heating standards aimed at improving energy efficiency and saving money.

When supporting our Strategic Energy Advisor our JEM helps deliver a collective switching scheme that so far has saved residents in the county around £518,000.

When supporting our Heritage colleagues our JEM monitors and helps to control in detail the heating, cooling and moisture content in the building – saving money whilst preserving priceless artefacts.

Our JEM helps us monitor output and submit meter reads of our renewable energy generators for the Feed in Tariff – ensuring expected income generation is achieved.

Our JEM helps us stay legally compliant by enabling access to required data for consultants producing our DECs.
